What is TARO?
Simply put TARO is a pork belly cut. However it actually is much more than that. First, we simmer our carefully selected ingredients for a long time. This allows for the TARO to have a mellow and exquisite flavor As a side note, the name “Taro” doesn’t exist in Chinese cuisine. In 1968, TARO was developed for Tokyo to suit the more competitive ramen market. Since then, it has gained enormous popularity, with many imitations appearing throughout Japan. Today, the thick meat (TARO) is a registered trademark of KEIKA.
